WordPress & WooCommerce Developer Rates
Clear pricing, written scopes, no surprises. Most projects are fixed-price, so you know the cost before any work starts.
Three ways to work together
Fixed-price project
Best for: well-defined features, plugins, integrations and migrations.
You get a written scope, milestones and a fixed price. If the scope changes, I flag it in writing before doing extra work.
Hourly
Best for: debugging, rescue work and investigations where the cause isn't known yet. Billed in 30-minute increments with a time log, 2-hour minimum.
Monthly hour block
Best for: ongoing improvements and agency partnerships. Unused hours roll over one month.
Launch pricing: 25% off for my first 3 clients
I'm opening Sladevs to new freelance clients, so the first three projects get 25% off any fixed-price quote. In return, I'll ask for honest feedback I can share anonymously once the project is done.
Typical starting prices

These are starting points, not final quotes. Your exact price comes in a written proposal after a free 20-minute scoping call.
Included in every project
- Written scope and proposal before any payment
- Staging-first development, so your live site is never the test environment
- Code in your repository, owned by you on final payment
- Documentation of what was built and how to maintain it
- 14 days of post-launch fixes for anything within scope
- NDA on request, before details are shared
Payment
- Fixed projects: 50% to start, 50% on delivery. Larger projects are split by milestone.
- Invoices in USD, GBP or EUR via Wise, Payoneer or PayPal.
Why not the cheapest option?
You'll find WordPress developers at a fraction of these rates, and for simple theme or content work, that can be the right choice. For integrations, custom plugins and performance problems, the cost of a wrong architecture usually outweighs the savings: data that doesn't sync, plugins that break on update, stores that stay slow. You're paying for fewer hours spent in the wrong direction.
Agencies: see white-label partnerships for partner pricing. Before hiring anyone, here's what to ask any developer before hiring.
Pricing questions
Do you offer free quotes?
Yes. The 20-minute scoping call and the written proposal are free.
What if the project takes longer than estimated?
On fixed-price projects, that's my risk, not yours, as long as the scope hasn't changed.
Do you charge for small fixes?
Fixes within the original scope are free for 14 days after launch. After that, small fixes are billed hourly or from a monthly block.
Why are your rates lower than typical US or UK developers?
I work remotely from India, so my costs are lower, and the quality isn't. You get senior-level engineering, clear written communication and the same staging-first process at a fair price.
